As the Division Head, you’ll lead the charge in the "Tuna Capital of the Philippines," bridging Product, Risk, and Sales to empower the Middle Market. You’ll oversee the effective operations of your unit, ensuring that wholesale banking services—from corporate finance to structured finance—reach the entrepreneurial clients driving regional growth. You aren’t just marketing loans; you’re shaping the financial wellness of an entire economic hub.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Division Head to translate market movements and client needs into sharp strategic bets and executable business plans. This role bridges leadership, product development, and compliance, ensuring the unit focuses on the right opportunities, designs winning propositions, and delivers against a clear, prioritized profit target.

By owning high-impact initiatives, defining what success looks like for your Account Officers, and driving alignment across bank units, this role supports sustainable, long-term regional growth.

The Team:

You’ll join the Commercial Banking Group in General Santos, driving customer acquisition and monetization through wholesale banking products and services. The team turns deep regional insights into powerful distribution channels, leads key strategic credit initiatives, and ensures the quality of the loan portfolio to deliver disciplined, data-driven business expansion.

What You’ll Own:

Market & Insight

  • Monitor market movements and changing client needs to inform strategic choices and product development.

  • Report market signals and competitor strategies to Management to propose new financial products.

  • Conduct regular client calls and plant visits to maintain first-hand information on account developments.

Strategic Planning & Prioritization

  • Turn insights into clear marketing strategies and business targets for the General Santos unit.

  • Establish long-term objectives and formulate actionable business strategies.

  • Prioritize initiatives and coordinate closely with other Bank units to ensure smooth transaction flows.

Strategic Initiatives & Execution

  • Own the overall quality and profitability of the loan portfolio and collateral business.

  • Lead cross-functional execution of corporate finance, investment banking, and cash management solutions.

  • Ensure early remedial actions and preventive measures for past-due loans or early problem signals.

GTM Strategy & Enablement

  • Design how the unit wins in the Middle Market through clear value propositions and trade services.

  • Provide Account Officers with volume and income targets and business development objectives.

  • Partner with junior officers to provide technical support and mentorship during complex client negotiations.

Performance Management & Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to Bank policies, BSP circulars, and regulatory memoranda to minimize operational lapses.

  • Review all credit and loan proposals to ensure proper packaging, risk assessment, and context.

  • Conduct surprise checks on unit activities to ensure operational excellence and reporting integrity.

What You Bring To The Table:

  • Experience: Significant background in commercial loans and wholesale banking services, specifically targeting the Middle Market.

  • Rank Eligibility: Currently holding a Junior or Senior Officer (Manager/Senior Manager) rank within a financial institution.

  • Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of corporate finance, investment banking, cash management, trade services, and structured finance.

  • Regulatory Acumen: In-depth knowledge of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) circulars, letters, and memoranda to ensure zero operational lapses.

  • Credit Analysis: Skilled in reviewing credit/loan proposals for proper packaging and assessing early warning signals for problem loans.

  • Operational Leadership: Proven ability to mentor Account Officers and conduct rigorous operational checks, including surprise audits of unit activities.

  • Strategic Growth: A results-driven mindset with the ability to monitor market movements and propose the development of new financial products based on regional client needs.
