As the Center Head, you will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and boots-on-the-ground relationship management. Managing a massive ₱70 billion portfolio, you’ll oversee a team of 25 Relationship Managers, ensuring that complex financial solutions land with precision and cultural relevance. You’re not just managing a P&L; you’re shaping the financial narratives of the businesses that drive the nation.

Job Purpose:
We are looking for a Head of Commercial Banking Center to translate market trends and credit insights into sharp strategic bets and executable growth plans. This role bridges leadership, risk, and operations, ensuring the Center focuses on the right opportunities, designs winning credit propositions, and delivers against a clear, prioritized profitability roadmap.
By owning a significant portfolio, defining what success looks like for your team of Account Officers, and driving alignment across the senior bank leadership, this role supports disciplined, data-driven, and scalable commercial growth.
The Team:
You’ll lead the Binondo Commercial Banking Center, a powerhouse team focused on customer acquisition and monetization within the Middle Market and Large Corporate segments. The team turns deep-rooted community relationships into powerful distribution channels, leads key strategic credit initiatives, and ensures the performance of loan portfolios to deliver sustainable, long-term growth.
What You’ll Own:
Market & Insight
Understand the market, competition, and internal performance to inform strategic credit choices.
Monitor market signals and economic indicators to translate them into clear strategic implications for the portfolio.
Conduct regular client calls and plant visits to obtain first-hand information on account developments.
Strategic Planning & Prioritization
Turn insights and vision into clear business strategies and investment priorities for the Binondo Center.
Build business cases and present credit approval memoranda to the Executive Committee (Excom).
Prepares and manages the annual financial budget of the Center.
Portfolio Management & Execution
Own the strategic loan portfolio and orchestrate overall marketing activities and profitability targets.
Manage the overall quality of the loan portfolio while exercising control to minimize operational and credit risks.
Administer and control the Center's daily activities, managing risks and ensuring adherence to Bank policies.
GTM Strategy & Enablement
Design how the bank wins in the Binondo market through clear value propositions and aggressive relationship building.
Define volume and income targets for Account Officers and support them through complex negotiations.
Train and enable internal teams through technical support and hands-on guidance on credit assessment.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Drive alignment and decisions by communicating strategy clearly to both clients and bank leadership.
Represent the Bank in syndicate meetings, creditors’ meetings, and steering committees.
Champion a customer-centric leadership style to ensure exceptional account servicing and client satisfaction.
What You Bring To The Table:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience specifically within the commercial banking sector.
Linguistic Mastery: Native or professional fluency in Chinese (Fukien/Hokkien) is a non-negotiable requirement for this specific market.
Financial Expertise: Advanced mastery of Financial Statement (FS) analysis, forecasting techniques, and ROI evaluation to support high-level executive decision-making.
Risk & Portfolio Management: Proven expertise in assessing creditworthiness and managing a diverse, high-value client portfolio (up to ₱70B).
Strategic Business Development: Demonstrated ability in expanding "wallet share," high-stakes negotiation, and identifying large-scale growth opportunities.
Leadership & EQ: Success in managing large teams (up to 25 RMs) and fostering a supportive environment that motivates and hones future leaders.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a reputable college/university, preferably with a major in Marketing or Business.
