As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll work at the heart of the product ecosystem, building, optimizing, and scaling backend services that empower intuitive and robust digital experiences. This role demands hands-on leadership in API development, database architecture, microservices, and system performance, while supporting the continuous improvement of both product and team.

What You’ll Own:
Backend Architecture & Strategy. Lead server-side design and development using Python frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Django), setting the technical bar and shaping roadmap decisions.
API Development. Build and document RESTful APIs that are clean, secure, and scalable to support both internal and external integrations.
Database & Data Design. Design and manage robust database schemas in PostgreSQL and MongoDB; optimize performance with efficient queries and indexing strategies.
Caching & Performance. Implement smart caching strategies using Redis and ensure high-availability and responsiveness of the platform.
Microservices Leadership. Architect, develop, and manage microservices architecture with clean communication protocols (REST, gRPC).
Security & Access Control. Design reliable authentication/authorization flows and safeguard user data at every step.
Mentorship & Best Practices. Drive clean code culture through reviews, testing, and mentorship; lead by example in code quality and delivery discipline.
User-Focused Engineering. Always build with the user in mind; collaborate across teams to deliver solutions that are intuitive and impactful.
What You Bring To The Table:
4+ years in backend development within product teams.
Strong experience in Python-based web frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, Django).
Solid knowledge in PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with strong data modeling skills.
Proficiency in designing secure, scalable REST APIs and microservices.
Familiarity with Redis caching and performance tuning techniques.
Experience in test-driven development, code quality, and design patterns.
Hands-on mentoring style and ability to support junior engineers effectively.
A mindset of pragmatism, patience, and ownership, you’re a builder, not a blocker.
